Nominate a local HERO
Essay contest open to high school seniors
High School Seniors….Recognize an adult in our community who has made a
positive impact on your life by entering the “My HERO” contest and win a scholarship and have your HERO honored with a Community Award!
CONTEST GUIDELINES
Enter your essay and application form that nominates an individual as a HERO and explains why he or she is being nominated. Essays should be less than 500 words and submitted by November 13, 2009.
* Subjects of the Essay Contest will be entered as nominees for the local Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Program.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
High School seniors students currently enrolled in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is part of a public awareness campaign entitled “HERO – Here Everyone Reaches Out.” The purpose of the campaign is to promote understanding of the importance of adults modeling positive, responsible behavior for young people.
