San Ramon Valley Unified School District Spring 2017 Teacher Recruitment Schedule

The Human Resources Department publicizes certificated position vacancies through professional organizations, the district’s website, and Ed-Join.  The district participates in numerous teacher recruitment fairs (see below) and will conduct screening interviews during its by-invitation-only "Job Fair" on Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Candidates interested in being considered for available vacancies which occur for the 2017-18 school year must submit an online SRVUSD application through EdJoin with the following attachments:

  • Letter of Intent / Introduction
  • Current Resume
  • Three recent Letters of Recommendation (2 years or less preferred)
  • Copy of valid credential or letter verifying expected completion of program




SATURDAY, April 15, 2017 

Screening interviews will be conducted on Saturday, April 15, 2017 for certificated applicants interested in being considered for positions in the 2017-18 school year.  To be considered for a screening interview, candidates must submit an online application NOW through EdJoin for "Pool" postings for the 2017-18 school year.  Applicants selected to interview will be invited to our job fair by email in late March or early April.


Screening Process:

  • Online EdJoin application packet is submitted between Wednesday, February 1, 2017 and Friday, March 17, 2017 to be considered for a screening interview at our Job Fair.
  • Applicants selected for a screening interview will be contacted by Human Resources by email and scheduled for an interview time.  Candidates will be scheduled for interviews between 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Successful applicants will be placed in an eligibility pool and considered as vacancies become available for 2017-18.  Principals will review applications and select candidates from the pool for additional interview(s).
  • Applicants must either be fully credentialed, have completed credential requirements, or be intern eligible before the start of the 2017-18 school year.
  • Applicants must have an authorization to teach English learners or be eligible for such authorization before they commence employment.
  • Applicants must meet NCLB compliance requirements, and if experienced, produce an NCLB compliance certificate before they commence employment.


Hiring Process From April Through Fall 2017:

  • Applications will be accepted for vacancies.  Vacancies are posted on the district website and on Ed-Join.
  • Candidates with complete EdJoin applications will be contacted for a position interview.
