This coming school year San Ramon Valley Unified School District will be opening two state-funded preschool classrooms for eligible 3 and 4 year olds. The San Ramon Valley Early Childhood Education Program (SRVECEP) will open one classroom at Live Oak Elementary School and one classroom at Walt Disney Elementary School. The California Preschool Foundations and Frameworks will be utilized by our highly qualified, credentialed teachers who will be teaching in our preschool classrooms. Our program is developed to provide school readiness opportunities for children,  assisting them to successfully transition to kindergarten. We are excited to bring this state funded California State Preschool program to San Ramon Valley Unified School District this fall.

The San Ramon Valley Early Childhood Education Program follows the same instructional calendar that all students in SRVUSD follow.  Our classrooms have a 1:8 staff to student ratio and programs are a minimum of 3 hours/day. Parents are encouraged to get involved, participating in classroom activities and parent education opportunities as appropriate. It is our goal to provide a strong foundation and home/school partnership for these early learners.

Eligibility Requirements

Children must turn 3 or 4 by September 1 of the school year. Qualified 4 year olds will be given priority over qualified 3 years old in order to assist in preparing students for kindergarten. Children are expected to be 100% potty trained to attend our program.  Additionally, families will need to provide transportation to and from school.

This California state-funded Preschool Program will serve 3 and 4 year old students who are eligible to participate.
