Registration and Policies

IMPORTANT: Registration Policies
Even though a portion of our enrichment classes have some academic basis, they are not structured to provide remediation of any academic area. Therefore, students with "F" grades will not be recommended for Enrichment Summer School as a means of remediation.

Online Enrichment Program registration begins on March 21, 2013.  Online Registration will continue, for all classes, on a space available basis unless posted otherwise on the Summer Enrichment welcome page.

Be sure of your summer plans before registering your child for any Summer Enrichment Program and be prepared to select alternate classes if one of your first selections is canceled.

Foreign students: Before registering for a summer class, please email the summer school principal to get approval to register. Foreign students must pay full amount for the classes taken.

Students from another state staying with a relative or friend in the SRVUSD for the summer: Students visiting from another state must pay full amount for the classes taken.

Program Costs

Summer programs are only available because of the generous donations of parents.  Donations cover the cost of the teachers, materials, and facilities during the summer. The recommended donation comes to approximately $5-6 per hour depending on the classes taken.  Classes that do not receive enough enrollment or donations to cover the cost of the class will be cancelled. Donations will be refunded if the class is cancelled and another class is not available.

Credit Card Donations - SRVUSD accepts two major credit cards, Visa or MasterCard, on our secure online registration site. All returned credit card donations will be charged a $25.00 service fee, and all subsequent payments must be cash or Money Order. Please note that if you paid by credit card your credit card company may apply an additional charge.

Check Donations –Please make your donation payable to "SRVUSD".  Mail or deliver your donation to: SRVUSD, Ed Services Department, 699 Old Orchard Drive, CA 94526. All returned checks will be charged a $25.00 service fee.

Class Cancellations and Refunds:The Summer School enrichment program is possible only through donations. A program/class may be canceled if the donations do not cover the cost of the program. Parents of students in the canceled classes will be contacted and offered an alternative class. If no alternative class is available, the class donation will be refunded.

The District must make final plans for programs, staff and facilities by the end of May. Therefore, any refund request by a parent received after Friday, May 31st, 5 p.m. will not be considered and your amount submitted will be deemed a donation to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Prior to May 31st, donations will be subject to a cancellation charge of $25 per registration. The cancellation charge will be deducted from the donation to cover processing.

If you need to cancel a class, send an email to rravi@srvusd.net including the student’s name, class/program, and reason for the cancellation. For additional information or if you have questions, please contact Ramaa Ravi at 552-5031.

Wait Lists

As classes begin to fill, students may be placed on a 'wait list'. Those entering their email address will receive an email after registering online. The email is an acknowledgment of registration. You will receive an email when your child is placed in a class. Sometimes, students will be placed in a newly opened class and you will be notified later the same day by email. Other times, a waiting list will remain until a sufficient number of students are on a waiting list to make a new class. Those without email will be contacted by phone if a student's status is 'wait list'.

It is the parent's or guardian's responsibility to check the email and notify the Enrichment Program Office with a reply to the email, if they do not want their child to remain on a wait list or when your child is moved from a wait list and placed in a class.
