Equity

Equity in SRVUSD means:
  • All students are empowered to reach their full potential
  • All students are valued and supported
  • In order to fulfill this commitment, we will address system inequities and close any opportunity gaps

SRVUSD is committed to equity because all students deserve to be successful in our schools. All staff have a responsibility to create and maintain the conditions for all students to be successful.

We know that not every student in SRVUSD currently experiences the conditions that lead to their success. Our commitment is to remove barriers so that all students can flourish in our schools.

Data across SRVUSD shows that there are specific students who are at the greatest risk of not experiencing conditions for success. This includes students who are experiencing poverty, have special education needs and those who identify as African American.

We are committed to our Strategic Directions and dedicated to academic excellence where all students thrive and are empowered to reach their full potential. We will continuously strive for equity in SRVUSD to achieve our goal that all students will experience the conditions to be successful.

SRVUSD MISSION FOR EQUITY

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is committed to nurturing and educating the whole student. Our equity leaders strive to interrupt any inequitable practices in school culture and curriculum and eliminate barriers to personal and academic success. Further, we establish each place of learning as an institution that validates and celebrates each student as an individual and as a part of a larger human family.
