SRVUSD Summer Programs 2019

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is excited to share information with you about our high school summer learning programs.  


Through our Personalized Learning Initiatives, SRVUSD will once again be offering an array of educational opportunities for students in grades 9 - 12 during the summer of 2019.  Please go to the links below for details, important information, applications and applicable deadlines:


SRVUSD High School Summer School -  Interest Form will be open until 11:59 pm on February 25

Location:  Dougherty Valley High School

Summer School Dates:  June 10 - July 19

·      Session 1 = June 10 - June 27  (No school on Friday, June 28)

·      Session 2 = July 1 - July 19  (No school on Thursday, July 4)


Summer Advancement Via Outside InstitutionsApplication will be open until 11:59 pm on June 20

·      Transcripts must be hand-delivered to Counseling office at student’s school by Friday, August 16


Graduation Requirement Fulfillment Via Outside Institution – Application will open on March 1


Note - Courses taken at Outside Institutions must meet the following criteria:

·      Must be taken from WASC accredited or regionally accredited institutions and offer coursework leading to a high school diploma.

o   Courses taken through providers that are WASC accredited as Supplementary Ed will not be accepted for credit.

·      Must be UC approved.

·      Institutions must issue letter grades and official transcripts; certificates of completion or official academic records will not be accepted.

o   Advancement Course/Institutions listed on the Approved Courses and Institutions for Advancement Via Outside Institutions document meet these requirements.  We will post another list for Graduation Requirement Fulfillment soon.


SRVUSD/DVC Summer School Partnership – More information will be added as it becomes available

Location:  Dougherty Valley High School

DVC Summer School Dates:  June 17 - July 25

·      Registration will be handled by DVC.  Courses are just housed on our site. To find out more about how to register for DVC classes, please visit the DVC website.

·      High School freshmen and sophomores are not able to pre-enroll in any DVC course and must wait until the first day of class to enroll.  Students/Parents will need to submit the Advancement Via Outside Institution with required Proof of Enrollment by the June 20 deadline.


If students have questions about specific courses and/or institutions, they should speak with their Counselor.
