Weekly Update #1
Posted 6/3/20

Welcome to the first in a series of summer “Reopening Together” Weekly Updates. As promised, we plan to engage and communicate with all stakeholders, staff, students and parents, over the summer so that our plan for reopening schools in the fall incorporates the priorities of our community. In addition, these weekly updates will provide you with important information that you need to know, things for your to-do list, etc. All these updates will be posted on the District website.

Reopening Information

  • Stakeholder Input - In order for your contributions to be authentic, throughout the summer we will be inviting you to provide input in a variety of ways. For more information on how we plan to engage stakeholders, we invite you to view the June 9th Board of Education meeting where we will unveil a plan to gather your input. If you cannot view the meeting live, it will be recorded and available for viewing anytime on the District’s official YouTube Channel.

  • Survey Results - We are currently analyzing the data from the first survey that went out. The information garnered from that survey will be considered in developing the plan. If you have not yet filled out this survey, it remains open until June 5. Take the Survey.

  • Summer Camps, Clinics and Conditioning -  Per Contra Costa County Health orders, extra and co-curricular school programs in the SRVUSD will be allowed to begin holding summer camps, clinics and conditioning which will include, but not be limited to athletics, arts, cheer, clubs, etc. as early as June 8th.  Specific details on the camps, such as times, contact information, etc. will come as early as this Friday from individual programs at your school. Non school related groups such as community partners, youth sports leagues, religious groups, and language schools will receive guidance in the next few weeks.

Parent To-Do List

  • 2020-21 Annual Update - Save the Date. It’s almost time to complete the SRVUSD online Annual Update. The Annual Update form asks parents to verify household and emergency contact information and complete the annual release acknowledgement and permission requirements. Parents complete the form by logging into their Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.

The parent portal will open on a different day in June for each high school and its feeder middle and elementary schools. You do not need to fill out the annual update on the day that the portal opens. Parents will have until August 31, 2020 to fill out the information.

The Annual Update will open on the following schedule*:

  • Monday, June 15 - Monte Vista High School and its feeder schools

  • Tuesday, June 16  - San Ramon Valley High School and its feeder schools

  • Wednesday, June 17 -  Dougherty Valley High School and its feeder schools

  • Thursday, June 18 - California High School and its feeder schools
