Summer School 2021

SRVUSD is in the process of outlining summer school 2021 options for students, elementary through high school.  Our overarching goal is to address learning gaps and student confidence in core content areas, including English language arts and mathematics, so our kids enter the 21-22 school year all the more prepared.  In addition, we plan to provide summer school, as we have in the past, for:

  • Middle school math advancement
    • Math Bridge program for middle school students wanting to advance either from Math Course 1 to Math Course 3, or Math Course 2 to Algebra 1
  • Extended School Year (ESY)
    • For students with IEPs
  • English Language Development (ELD)

We believe that some summer learning on campus and with peers will be great for our students’ social and emotional well-being. We are working towards this option, but do not yet know exactly how that will look.

We want to make it clear that this information is tentative. We are providing this outline for you now, so that you can plan for summer by reserving the dates. We still have to work out all the details, and of course, comply with all state and county health guidance, which is unclear for the summer at this time. We also recognize that there is a possibility that the state may give direction regarding summer learning which could modify/amplify our plans.

Here is a look at the draft schedule. We appreciate your patience, as things could change a bit. We will keep you posted as the details are finalized.
