Pivotal Practice Award

The Pivotal Practice (CAPP) Program was utilized by the State of California during 2022 in place of the Distinguished Schools Award, Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, state law suspended the reporting of state and local indicators on the 2020 and 2021 California School Dashboard (Dashboard).  In 2022, California recognized districts and elementary and middle and high schools that highlighted a pivotal practice implemented during the 2020–21 school year when California required schools to offer distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
