San Ramon Valley

CJ Cammack began his tenure as Superintendent of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District in July 2024. With over a decade of leadership experience in public education across the Bay Area, he brings a strong foundation of expertise and a deep commitment to student success.

 

Before leading SRVUSD, Mr. Cammack served four years as Superintendent of the Fremont Unified School District and four years as Superintendent of Martinez Unified. Prior to his years as a Superintendent, Mr. Cammack was the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in SRVUSD.

 

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s College (SMC) in Moraga, where he now holds a seat on the SMC Graduate School of Education Advisory Board.

 

Recognized across the state for his leadership, Mr. Cammack served as Chair of the 2024 Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Statewide Superintendent Symposium and was honored as the 2024 Region 6 Superintendent of the Year. He is an active member of the ACSA Statewide Superintendent Council.

 

Superintendent Cammack is guided by the belief that strong relationships and collaborative leadership create the foundation for exceptional learning opportunities. He is dedicated to advancing SRVUSD’s Strategic Directions and Learner Profile to strengthen the student experience.

 

In addition to his professional achievements, he is a devoted husband and father of two.
