San Ramon Valley

We are thrilled to welcome CJ Cammack as the new Superintendent of San Ramon Valley Unified School District. With more than a decade of experience serving in public education leadership roles throughout the Bay Area, Mr. Cammack brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to student success to our district. 

Mr. Cammack most recently served four years as the Superintendent of Fremont Unified School District. Prior to this, he was the Deputy Superintendent and then Superintendent of Martinez Unified School District, and also served SRVUSD in previous capacities as Director and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. Mr. Cammack holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s College (SMC) where he now holds a seat on the SMC Graduate School of Education Advisory Board.

Highly respected by his peers throughout California, Mr. Cammack was the Chair of the 2024 Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Statewide Superintendent Symposium. Recently, the Association selected Mr. Cammack as its 2024 Region 6 Superintendent of the Year. He is also a member of the ACSA Statewide Superintendent Council.

Mr. Cammack believes that meaningful relationships and collaborative leadership pave the way for exceptional learning opportunities. He possesses a vision to strengthen the student experience and a commitment to continuing and expanding the work of SRVUSD’s Strategic Directions and Learner Profile. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Cammack is a devoted husband and the father of two children.
