SOLAR PHASE 2: PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS AT UP TO 15 SCHOOL SITES
At its December 8, 2015 meeting, the Board of Education authorized staff to execute an agreement with SunPower Corporation for photovoltaic systems at up to 15 school sites. The project will be financed using Clean Renewable Energy Bonds.

Clean Renewable Energy Bonds (CREBS) are a "tax-credit bond" designed to provide the issuer with an interest subsidy that results in lower borrowing costs than traditional tax-exempt bonds. CREBS are typically sold to investors through a public offering or private placement.
