Technology Advisory Committee

The Technology Advisory Committee is dedicated to fostering a safe, innovative, and forward-thinking technological environment within our schools. Comprised of district staff, community members, and industry experts, the committee meets regularly to discuss and address critical topics such as cybersecurity, data governance, and the strategic integration of AI in education. Together, we work to ensure that SRVUSD remains at the forefront of technological advancements, supporting our students and staff with secure, effective, and cutting-edge digital resources.
 
The San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) Technology Advisory Committee is seeking passionate, collaborative members for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
This committee brings together a diverse group of parents, students, staff, and community members to partner with and advise the district's Technology Department. Together, we ensure that our digital resources, infrastructure, and classroom tools directly support and enhance the district’s educational goals.
 
We are looking for individuals who are eager to contribute to a collaborative, forward-thinking environment. If you are interested in helping shape how technology empowers learning in our schools, we encourage you to apply!
 
 
Additional Information
Final selection of Committee members will be based on criteria that consider several variables to achieve broad representation. The goal is to have a cross-section of individuals sit on this committee and reflect the diversity of the SRVUSD community. Please note that if you are not selected, there will be a number of opportunities for you to participate and provide input in other ways.

2026-2027 Key Goals & Focus Areas
 
For the upcoming school year, the committee will focus on critical initiatives to shape the future of technology at SRVUSD, including:
  • Annual Tech Plan Review: Reviewing and updating the district’s comprehensive Technology Plan to ensure it remains a dynamic, forward-looking roadmap.
  • System Rollout Evaluations: Monitoring and reviewing all major Technology Department rollouts.
  • Instructional Benchmarks: Analyzing and integrating new instructional technology benchmarks to measure student and teacher digital literacy.
  • AI Implementation: Guiding the safe, ethical, and innovative integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning and for operational use
  • Cybersecurity Measures: Assessing and strengthening the district's cybersecurity posture to protect our community.
  • Data Governance: Ensuring robust student data privacy, security protocols, and compliance standards are maintained district-wide.
