School Transfers

2024-25 Intradistrict Transfer Requests

This is the link to the 2024-25 Secondary (current 5th - 11th grade) Intradistrict Transfer Request form. For requests received by April 15, parents/guardians will receive a transfer notification via email the last week in April. We will accept secondary intradistrict transfer requests through July 2024. Please click here to access intra district transfer priorities and practices. You will be required to acknowledge your understanding of these priorities and practices prior to submitting a transfer request. Transfer status will not be available prior to the official email decision notification.

This is the link to the 2024-25 Elementary (incoming TK and current TK-4th grade) Intradistrict Transfer Request form. For requests received by April 6, we will send parents/guardians transfer notifications via email the last week in April. We will accept elementary intradistrict transfers through July 2024. You will be required to acknowledge your understanding of these priorities and practices prior to submitting a transfer request. Transfer status will not be available prior to the official email decision notification.

This is link to the 2024-25 Del Amigo Intradistrict Transfer Request form (for students between 16-18 years of age). Del Amigo High School is part of the SRVUSD alternative education options. Del Amigo High is on the Alternative Education campus which is shared with Venture School at 10540 Albion Rd, San Ramon. It is for students who are 16-18 years of age who are behind in credits, and at risk of not graduating from high school. Students must attend school daily, five days a week, from 9:00 am. to 1:30 pm. Students graduate with a reduced credit requirement of 190 total credits. After a transfer request has been submitted, families will receive an email with information about when the next orientation meeting is and the next steps for enrollment.

Moving Within SRVUSD?

If you have moved within the SRVUSD boundary to a new school's attendance area, and wish to request a transfer for your student to remain at his/her 2023-24 school site for the 2024-25 school year, please submit your intra district transfer request during 2024-25 Open Enrollment. No need to submit anintradistrict transfer to complete the 2023-24 school year at your current school site.

Intradistrict Transfer Information

Intradistrict Transfer Requests are applicable to students currently enrolled in a school in SRVUSD, requesting a transfer from one school to another within SRVUSD, requesting to attend a school other than the student's resident school site. If you have moved within the school district boundary and wish to have your student's enrollment move to your new resident school site, no intradistrict transfer is needed, please bring your new verification of residency to your current school office staff.

Students must be enrolled in a San Ramon Valley School to request an Intradistrict Transfer. If your student is NOT currently enrolled in SRVUSD, you must complete the enrollment process prior to your transfer being considered.

The following information is applicable to all students requesting an Intra District Transfer. Please read carefully prior to submitting transfer request(s) for the appropriate grade level(s). Links to online intra district transfer request forms are posted at the bottom of this page.

Transfers are granted based on space availability in the school and/or program requested. Available space is determined considering both current and projected space needs. Once a transfer is approved, the student's enrollment moves to the requested school site and space is not held at the original school site.

2024-25 Open Enrollment (Intradistrict Transfers) Timeline

Secondary (current 5th - 11th grade): December 15, 2023 - February 15, 2024
- For requests received by February 15, transfer notifications will be sent to parents via email by March 1. Transfer requests remain open through July.
Elementary (current and incoming Transitional Kindergarten - 4th grade): February 1 - March 6, 2024
- For requests received by March 6, transfer notifications will be sent to parents via email by March 29. Transfer requests remain open through July.
