Our Mission

Our Mission

Early Intervention in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) is a collaborative effort involving the community, family, and school in developing an appropriate, research-based educational program, which supports the development of each child. We embrace each family and child and utilize a play-based approach to support each child’s physical, cognitive, and social emotional development.
As a single district SELPA, SRVUSD runs a full continuum of early childhood special education services for student birth to 5.  The San Ramon Infant Toddler Early Start (SITES) provides services for children and their families from birth to three years who display significant developmental delays or have a known low-incidence disability under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) through an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).

Our preschool special education program begins at age 3 and provides services for eligible children ages 3 to 5. Services may include participation in a preschool class setting, provisions of related services such as speech and language or occupational therapy, or targeted intensive services in our Center for the Early Intervention of Autism (CEIA).
