NEW Financial Aid Requirement for Seniors!

What: Starting in the 2022-23 academic school year, high schools and school districts will need to ensure that all 12th graders in the state of California complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or CA Dream Act Application (CADAA), unless the student has formally submitted an opt-out waiver. The goal of “All In for FAFSA/CA Dream Act” is to expand access to financial aid to thousands of students who may have otherwise not been aware of these opportunities.

Who: All seniors must complete the FAFSA or CADAA.  Learn which application applies to youStudents of all income levels applying to all types of post-secondary programs need to apply. Many colleges require the FAFSA or CADAA for merit-based scholarships or even to be able to participate in different programs at the colleges. FAFSA or CADAA is not only for students who intend to apply for need-based scholarships or grants.
